I would rather Derrick Harvey at #6...

Wow, Branden Albert in the top 10?

I like Devin Thomas as the 1st WR taken. He might have the most potential of the group.

I don't like the Pac going QB in the 1st. Maybe in the 2nd or 3rd, but I think they will go CB.

    The rest looks good.

Albert is that good, and in this draft why not reach. Its that type of draft.

I don't like the fact that two CBs will be some of our highest paid players. That is not good for business, but i have no alternative solution.

No way, the likelihood that Ryan is there at 6 and McFadden and Gholston are gone we SHOULD take Ryan.

    Period.

Like I've said before, NFL.com mocks are pretty horrible. I guess its kind of cool to see some upset picks, but when I see Keith Rivers drop that far its really not worth looking at.

The only thing I'll say is that things have changed. With the money top 10 corners are getting, is it really a reach? You don't even have to be a shutdown corner anymore to get big money. If you think he is the best corner in the draft and both Longs, Dorsey and DMC are gone and you have no trade down avenue, take him. Also a great returner. Pac man was a top 5 pick and a security risk, this kid has no skeletons.
Here is a quick rundown of the first 2 CB taken the last few years.
    07- Revis, Leon Hall
    06-Tye Hill, Cromartie
    05-Pacman, Fabian Washington
    04-DeAngelo Hall, Dunta Robinson
    03- Terance Newman, Trufant
Pretty good batting average, don't you think.

One benefit a team would get if they drafted McKelvin is his KO/Punt Return ability. However, we have Leon returning punts and Justin returning kicks, both are studs at what they do.

Would we be really be maximizing McKelvin's ability if we draft him?

Also, I think Brian Brohm will go higher than the Packers too...

That is one of the dumbest drafts i have ever seen id u see the reasoning he gave for the Packers selecting Brohm oh they they can just trade him away if Aaron Rodgers is successful

Taking McKelvin at 6 would be crazy. Special teams wise, the JETS don't need anyone in that area since they already have Leon and Justin. Take away his punt return skills and McKelvin is nowhere near the top as DRC, Cason, Talib, and Jenkins are as far as coverage skills go and the only players from Troy that have thrived in the NFL are DE's Ware and Osi U. If Gholston and McFadden are gone, the JETS have to trade down simple as that.

Trading down is so damn hard nowadays... Everyone wants to trade down, no one wants to trade up.
    1. Less money for unproven rookie contracts
    2. Less pressure on front office to select the next "bust"
    3. More flexibility in a deep draft, most teams need to fill more than 1 position anyway, so why trade your draft away to get 1 player who may or may not put your team over the top.
