Just say a report on ESPN that Panthers are holding on to Rivera. Looks like the incoming GM will be put in the same position as the incoming Jets GM of having their Head Coach in place for at least one year. I live in NC and it had been a foregone conclusion since the middle of the season that he was going to be history at the end of the season. I personally think this is a good move on their part. The team should tremendous improvement toward the end of the season after a disappointing start. I like Rivera and think he is a pretty decent coach.
He's a defensive guy and their D has been average at best, which is why I think he's on the hot seat. They have offensive weapons, that's for sure. If he was to be canned, some dude is gonna inherit a pretty damn good QB. I guess Rivera has one year to make playoffs.
