The Jets gave Rex time to learn as well as Bowles.

Why do this mid season to a coach that’s had a solid run there?
Could’ve waited till the end of season and mutually parted.

Rivera would be a massive upgrade over Gase.

Maybe the Panthers are courting someone like Harbaugh or Riley.

Wish we were courting someone like Harbaugh or Riley... or Dabo... bring in Dabo.

Wrong way to look at it. Rivera is history. The question now is who is better than nobody. Or who is the best guy to fill the vacancy.

We seem to get hung up here with comparing the present to all the failures of the past instead of realizing the slate has been wiped clean and it's time to start over. Being better than the last bum is not a way to build a winner.

I don't think Dabo would want to coach in the NFL, and I don't think he'd do well. He's very much about faith, building character and working with young men. Older vets would laugh at him or tune him out.

Fair enough. He does get his team to 0lay extremely well. And from what I here he does a lot of the recruiting. But I would say NYJ is completely off his radar.

Great hire by Washington I think.

One of the most underrated coaches in recent memory IMO.

It'll be interestjng to see if he brings in Cam Newton there in a backup QB role.

Or maybe not Cam might still be too big for a role like that, cast too big a shadow for the young QB there.

I believe you will see Alex Smith mentoring Haskins.

He is a good young QB that will need a guy like Smith to help him develop. Haskins should be good to go within a year.

They need to fix the oline but they are set at QB and HC.
