Ryans. Still not sure how he slipped this far... With a revamped LB core of Hawk, Barnett, and Ryans their run defense should take a huge jump next season.

    LB Demeco Ryans, Alabama.

I voted for Jennings, they could use a corner.

i voted for wimbley for no other reason than the fact he is a definite first rounder. in other words , this mock is screwed from pick 3 on down. white, greenway and williams will not go before huff

    1) Those picks were done in early February so everything is going to be messed up- obviously. Thats why the Cards have a RB while today they wouldn't. Greenway has also been posted higher then Huff in a lot of mocks I have seen and at that time draft "expert" Mel Kiper had Greenway going to Oakland at 6.
    2) Wimbley is not a definite first rounder... Antajj Hawthorne was in everyone's first round last year and even on draft day was 2nd or 3rd and he fell into the 6th. Point is- Outside of the first 10 picks ANYONE can fall.
    3) I know it's not the best mock but if you have something bad to say about my mock draft keep it to yourself, please?

i'd personally go DT i think...

but DE,CB,OL,and LB are all weakness areas...

the best player would be ryans imo....LB is the good choice, especially with diggs cut

Good point with DT, if they loose their big guy in Jackson they could replace him with another big DT in Watson.

Keep in mind, they took Hawk in round 1, so LB wouldn't be a HUGE need.

Also, Donnie, another good guy to be putting on these polls would be Thomas Howard.

i went with ernie simms, forgetting that demarco rynas was still up there.

either way, i think going LB 1-2 isnt such a bad idea. they can solidify their linebacking corps for years as well as a good place to build a defense around. i was also banking on them signing a FA DT or resigning grady jackson.

the dont need corner this high because al harris is good and they drafted ahmad carroll two years ago. they do need help offensively, but they still have a good recieving corps (so long as walker doesnt get traded), some good running backs since they resigned green and have gado, and have a young QB. the only thing they need immediate help with is oline, which they might address in FA or later rounds

They have no one at both OLB positions currently... drafting them 1-2 would not be a bad idea at all.

I will get Howard in there once OLBs start getting drafted... people seem to love to draft CBs and S's on here for everyone instead of OLBs.

Agreed, they do have no OLBs, I never said it would be a bad idea, just said it wouldn't be as big of a need as it would be if Hawk was on the board.

But Ryans on the board at 36 is the same as Hawk on the board at 5. Demeco Ryans just is far too good to be available in the second round and is excellent value here.

    Sims > Ryans

I went with Joseph though because their guards were pitiful and I didn't want to draft LB back to back and I think Jennings is going to suck because he weighs less than me. They also don't need a DE because they got KGB and Kampman

They're not drafting OLBs in rounds 1 and 2. Davin Joseph. They need a guard badly.

Was Mat Millen recently named the new GM of the Packers, replacing Ted Thompson? I didn't notice.
