Sad to hear he passed. I was a fan and his writings were influential as I embraced libertarian ideals. He showed that you could be hip & funny while holding some conservative views. His book, "Parliament of Whores", is recommended reading for anyone with even a passing interest in American politics.
The cigarette in his hand is what did him in. Lung cancer. No matter what side of the aisle you're on or if you're straight up the middle the guy had a rapier wit and was deeply admired by his colleagues. RIP.
