What do you guys think of DT Danny Shelton. I know Snacks will be coming back but for how long. A one year deal or multi year one? Shelton is a massive guy and would replace Ellis and fill out the rotation along with Barnes.

I'm a huge fan of Shelton but we are good on the DL. Have other holes to fill.

It's good to consider other perspectives and think openly, but this DL is absolutely stellar. They were fortunate to get such a find with Harrison and he might be the very best at what he does. I hope to see this defensive line in tact for many seasons to come.

I agree and I do like "Snacks" and I think the Jets like T.J Barnes. For me the only thing this defense really needs is a speed rusher. Some one that has to be accounted for on every snap. If Bowles can get one of those it could fun to watch. Rex was never able to get that guy but I hope Bowles does.

That can only be guessed. TJ Barnes came from the old regime and a full overhaul has taken place. So we have no idea what this Jets regime thinks of him. And not for nothing, but in his limited snaps last year, Barnes graded out negatively as a run-defender while Harrison was the best 3-4 NT against the run.

Yes, they could certainly use an impact pass-rusher. But that would be as an OLB, not a NT like Danny Shelton. No reason to try to replace a NT who is the best at what he's supposed to do in order to try to upgrade with Shelton.

Shelton is going in the first round and we have absolutely no need at that position. Is this thread for real??
