for some reason i HATED glenn foley, and his red hair... i dont know why, but god i hated him. but yeah them mid 90's years were rough, def. our bottom as a franchise.
Unfavorable. The guy was given the job and still couldn't make it. Never made it anywhere else, either.
He gets an incomplete, he idn't play enough. he stard to play in '95 and got hurt then got the job late in '97 and got hurt.
I like to judge these guys based on play, the question isn't whether I think thye are good people or not.
Anyone associated with the '97 Bill Parcells turnaround gets an OK from me. That team didn't have 9-7 talent and Foley did his job (helping to win the field position game).
God I can not wait until the season starts so we can stop the time machine. On point, Glen Foley was a starter for one year maybe two. I do not recall the Jets being competitive with him at the helm. If we are talking about Jets of yesteryear how about Browning Nagle. Rocket Arm out of Louisville. 366 yards passing in his debut. But he slid off of the table fast. He was not a one hit wonder he was a one game wonder..
I was at the game that Foley messed up his arm (dislocated shoulder? I forget) and all I remember was him walking off the field with the trainers holding his arm out and him taking off his helmet with the other and whipping it to the turf. I still remember all of the padding in helmet flying out. He definitely was a fiery guy but he hardly played which is a shame.
I had my doubt's at first ,Parcells hated O'donald by the way . But after that come back against the the Radiers He became a good guy on my book! His greatest moment of as a jet was the come back and that 49er's game. Wont go down as a name of mention but he was here!
How is that possible? The guy played about three complete games for us. If he were a left guard nobody would even remember him.
