Pats only had 9 runs and some of them were plays that broke down where Brady squeaked out off a few. Are there comparable games in nfl history with such an out of balance offense that resulted in a win? The nfl rules are a joke. They might as well not run it at all and just play backyard football. Could a team in the 70s 80s or 90s survive by playing a week with only 9 runs and still win?
More than a few friends and family have gone from diehards to casual NFL fans thanks to all of the gimpy rule changes. Personally I miss having a return game. They took one of the most exciting parts of football and all about killed it.
The game has changed extensively. Imagine if that 'genius' formation belichick concocted was legal today. Eligible receivers nearly impossible to determine in a hurry up. And if the d successfully covers the eligible receivers the option is still there to run up the gut at a now spread out linebacking core/second level. Higher scoring games is what we want though, right ...? Fan duel draft kings fan duel draft kings fan duel
Imagine being strategic. IMAGINE! http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...livers-a-lecture-when-asked-about-nfls-rules/
They beat buffalo with the same "gameplan" Won't be too long until Belichick won't be able to just ask Brady to win the game for him. At that point 9 runs in a game will look like an idiot and not a genius move
