Does anyone have experience with sites that include online payment processing? Any recommendations or things to watch out for? How do these fuckers typically handle returns?

I'm checking out the options now and it seems like PayLine Data is a really good option for minimal fees charging only .5% + 15 cents per transaction. They claim to have a versatile API but it's tough to find much info on their website - they want you to talk directly to someone to get details I guess. I never heard of them until I started this research. Pay Pal is a good credible name but you have to spend an extra $30/month for the premier service that allows processing without leaving your site (goes to pay pal site). They also charge way more - 2.9% per transaction + 30 cents (same as Stripe). Huge.

I'm selling a local service that needs to be integrated into the site, so something like etsy isn't going to work.

Obviously I'm doing my own research, but I'd like to hear from folks who have experience here.

Check a company called Square, used them for my business and they were very good.

Card reader for my phone was great, did not need online service but I know they offered something similar to what your looking for.

Price structure is very straight forward.
