Revis was named a finalist for the HOF on Wednesday. Was never really a question and he should more then likely make it on the first ballot. I sometimes get the feeling even with Jets fans I know in my personal life, as well as the ones that I've encountered here on this forum, that Revis is somewhat polarizing. Maybe it's me, but some love him and were happy with his impact on this franchise, and others think he was a selfish, diva who cared more about Revis Island then the team. When I now think back on his career, it's kind of weird in all honesty. He was traded to Tampa still in the prime of his career after his torn ACL, actually played pretty well but gets cut for salary reasons, goes to the arch enemy, is once again All-Pro and a top 3 corner helping them win a ring in 2014, then comes back to the Jets and has one more great season then falls off the cliff. In all honesty it feels like his Jets career overall went by in a flash. Considering he is one of our greatest players it just feels like it did. I don't know if some Jets fans hold it against him that he won his only ring with the Patriots. I don't personally do that, but I know some of my Jets fans do among other things that went on with Revis contractual wise. I personally will always remember his 2009-2011 seasons and he was honestly the perfect cornerback overall for me. Could do it all. Wish he would have never left, but hey it is what it is. Anyway, I can't wait for Revis to be inducted into the HOF, and he'll always be remembered as a Jet overall. This was a pretty cool video. Oh BTW, his Ring Of Honor introduction was the last time we won a game lol.
