Going into this off-season the Jets had premium assets that could be used to potentially change the entire culture of this awful franchise.

    1. a young QB going into his 2nd year with extreme high potential that should bring in a high level offensive coach.

    2. Cap space. The Jets had enough cap space to bring in instant upgrades at GLARING HOLES ( we needed atleast TWO OL, A PASS RUSHER (decade and counting), a Corner and a offensive weapon for Darnold.

    3. A premium draft pick We had a top 3 draft pick. that could be used to fill one of the needs above.

Well, all three were missed. Some how the Jets found a way to blow all three. We did not get a coach, we used all of the cap space on a running back and a linebacker and used the premium draft pick on a run stuffing DT for the 5th time since 2011.

I said before the offseason, if they dont get it right with Sam....they never will.

Mind boggling. They hire the wrong coach. Don't address areas of need with a boat load of money just patch it with the two best free agents and don't trade back because the team needs so much. Amazes me and this has been going on for over 10 years and we keep coming back for more. We're the suckers and you know what I'll still come back. i need mental help.

Should've hired Chaim Bloom after last season ended. He'd be as good as 10 NFL GM's.

They should of signed paradis, but what LT and RT were they supposed to sign? Which pass rusher and corner? And isnt bell a weapon? I am not defending them, but you can’t just make players up to sign.

    I have 0 regret with Le'Veon.

    He's worth every nickel.

    Kalil should re-retire.

He could've been hired to be GM of the Jets AND the Mets and I would be OK with it...

Its pretty hard to not be depressed and somewhat agree with the OP's sentiment at this point.

At the most optimistic Gase is looking like a shaky move/leaky vessel at the moment.
Love the kid but QWilliams is looking like a "relatively" low impact guy for a #3 overall pick at the moment.
Love Darnold and I still believe but I'm not sure this season is helping him develop much so far although to be fair getting sick and stuff is just bad luck.

It does kind of feel like all the opportunity is slipping through our fingers..... or maybe already did.

I will say I've been 10x more impressed by Leveon Bell than I thought I would be. The only "bad" thing about picking him up is that it almost seems like his best year(s) with us are going to be completely wasted because the Jets haven't got their shit together on almost every other front. Bell himself though has been perfection so far as far as I'm concerned.
