In all seriousness based on the below he is running a sub 4.5. The Jets could use some vet presence at WR..I know he has been a basketcase but was well behaved in BUF and CIN.

TO allows us to rotate Hill and ease him in a bit. Plus he appears to be in shape and will undoubtedly come on the cheap.

Forget how pathetic his rep is right now. If the guy can still play he can still play and he plays a position of need for us. If he sucks then cut him before the season starts.

    Thoughts?

"According to ESPN's Ed Werder, free agent Terrell Owens had a "very impressive" workout with the Seahawks on Monday, and the team will "try" to sign him.

Per ESPN's Mike Sando, Owens ran a sub-4.5 40. It's unclear why the Seahawks would have to "try" to sign a receiver who's open desperation to get back into the NFL has been a pathetic public spectacle, but it sounds like a deal will get done. The Seahawks' continued exploration of the receiver scrap heap doesn't bode well for Golden Tate and Ben Obomanu."

FYI. GMCJETS is going to love this thread. He's constantly said bring in TO, and TBH I now agree with him.

Put his locker in the corner with only one next to him: #15. Bring us a miracle, Tebow.

Why, so the media and opposing fans can laugh and ridicule us more than they already are?

The locker room will be a disaster with this guy around. And all it would lead to is the Jets getting disrespected more than they already are.

Honestly I think he is a shitty fit for any team that does not have an established solid QB. Seattle included. He needs to play 3rd strong for a good offense that needs another play maker.

I agree especially w/ mark having a good camp and all the positive feelings about him I don't think we can upset that at this point though i'd love to have a talent like TO on our team.

Cancer, no thanks. Humans are creatures of habit. For a time I'm sure he could keep it under control, but seeing as how he has a habit of destroying locker rooms, it will return eventually.

Tebow and T.O. would be an interesting thing because if T.O. does become a cancer, I think Tebow could heal all problems.

I would love TO here. 38 years old but he's still got it.. I wish that the Jets would give him a shot. I honestly still think he can play and with his situation and being so desperate to play I highly doubt that he would do anything to cause problems.

NO. TO has spent too many years being an idiot for any GM/Coach to expect him to actually behave. Also, this is a Jets locker room that Rex ADMITTED to not having control when the season ended. Rex is trying to get more involved in the Offense & now there's a new OC trying to put his imprint on the team. Neither one of them needs to deal with the TO baggage.

TO might still have talent but only teams that have very solid leadership and controlled locker rooms should take a shot @ him ... and Jets aren't one of those teams.

I think TO can be productive, but I would rather leave our WR corps as is. If any of the injuries spill over to the season I would think of adding another receiver
