With the loss of Sheldon for 4 games. All U TGGers should go find something other then the NYJs to waste your time on now
News flash: the Jets weren't winning anything this year with their current QB situation, Sheldon or no Sheldon.
I don't think the suspension changes literally anything. I've said that if we can get to the bye at 2-2 then we're set up for a good season. Sheldon isn't going to single handedly beat anybody. We just gotta beat the Browns then play a good game against either the Colts, Eagles or Dolphins. With the way the schedule softens in the middle of the season it's all about starting off 2-2.
We lose a player in a position where we are stacked for four games and now our season is done. Got it.
I see 3-1 because the Browns suck, the Eagles will be starting Sanchez after Bradford gets hurt in the 3rd preseason game and the dolphins have no defense as witnessed in week 17 last year. The colts will be our only loss in that 4 game stretch.
The Browns are a 7-9 football team and the Jets are a 4-12 football team, but the Browns suck? In their entire history, the Jets have never beaten the Eagles in a regular season game. Miami has a real NFL QB, the Jets do not. 3-1 is nothing more than a pipe dream.
I thought the records reset at the end of the year, weird. The Browns and Jets both have atrocious offenses and good defenses. Dwayne Bowe and Brian Hartline are their vaunted outside playmakers. They have an elite offensive line but will rely on Terrance West and rookie Duke Johnson to manufacture offense through the ground. They have a top 5 secondary, anchored by Tashaun Gipson, Whitner and obviously Joe Haden, but Justin Gilbert had his struggles last year. They were a team very suspect at stopping the run, and merely adding Danny Shelton hardly figures to drastically change that. It will surely be an ugly, low scoring game between 2 defensive minded teams with little firepower, but I expect the Jets to win on the strength of a superior running game and the fact that Marshall or Decker will be across from Justin Gilbert on any given snap, presenting a mismatch. I'll take 17-7 or 17-6 for a score. However, judging the teams on their records from last year is asinine, given all that has transpired since the last game of 2014 was played. I do agree that 3-1 looks unrealistic, though. That's why I hope that the team can beat Cleveland, as I expect, and then steal one of the next 3 games against superior opponents. In a stretch after the bye, the Jets get Washington, Oakland, Jacksonville and Tennesee, so a 2-2 start would set them up nicely.
