Anthony Harris? How great would it be if this coaching staff landed a diamond in the rough from Western New Mexico? EDIT: ...just did some research on this guy - this guy's been in and out of the league since 2004. Apparently he's a decent long snapper and a mediocre-at-best defensive end.
Allen Patrick has already been drafted and cut by the Ravens. Maybe Rex remembers good things about AP from there. Guy was very good at Oklahoma. AP seems like the kind of running back we always end up losing to the Giants.
Patrick carried the load at Oklahoma, but he's never had a carry in the NFL. He was never an elite college back, but he was decent. It must be hard playing in Adrian Peterson shadow. ...maybe Ryan saw something in this guy when he was in Baltimore. Cleveland/Mangini just got him a few days ago.
Oh so he's not a rookie? In that case I'll remove him from the list, E ... I want this to be about rookies only, which is why I didn't list Manny Collins either Thanks for the heads up
damn i really wouldnt be surprised to see him play nickel or even start by the end of the season. I guess he wanted to play rite away
The following three rookies were given the ole heave-ho after only one day of mini camp and not invited back for day two, so I'm scratching them off the original list
How do you cut an offensive lineman after one day of non-contact drills? He didn't do a good job of standing there and doing nothing?
I'm really rooting for Westerman. Came here for less money partly because he wanted to be coached by Rex. This is a nice write up about him: http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2009/05/rutgers_product_jamaal_westerm.html
Very promising article. If he gets in good with Westhoff too, might have excellent shot at making team. Who do we have for OLB depth? Just Murrell?
S Emanuel Cook 34-DE Zach Potter FB Brannan Southerland These are the names being touted as being very good pick ups. http://web.me.com/greenrewind/Site/.../1_Jet_Scouts_Review_Show_2_(42:18_Min.).html
You jinxed us now he's with the Giants. Its going to Earth, Wind, Fire and Rain or something like that.
