Food for Thought... Our D Alright so its only been two games, but still we've yet to allow a touchdown this year against two explosive offenses. Houston put up 34 on the Titans, a team with a solid defense, this week. And the pats are the pats. I am very impressed by our D's total dominance of these offensive minded teams.... Dare, i say it, do we have the best D in football?
Can't say that yet. I have to admit we were less than stellar against the run today, but the Pats for some reason just didn't want to run it. But I gotta say, this defense is pretty freakin awesome.
That being said, I'm pissed off at Mangini's "bend-but don't break" bullshit philosophy. This squad (even minus Scott and Leonard) should have been dominant last season.
loving the "anti-prevent" last season we get to watch as the pats move down the field for the game tying td at the end.
Jets D hasn't given up a TD yet 2 weeks, 2 big time offenses and two straight weeks the Jets have not given up a TD on defense. Life is good right now.
They had their success running it out of 3 wide gun formations, and they never had sustained success at running the ball all game. Also, on a key 3rd and 1 in the 4th Q we stopped them for a 1 or 2 yard loss on a run play
If and only if, we shut down New Orleans offense does any Jets fan have the right to say that before the first 5 weeks of the season are played....
