I was at the Denver game and couldn't help but notice one glaring thing on offense.

Everyone in the stadium knew if the Jets were going to run or pass
with the exception of the 3rd & 1 and 4th & 1 plays (which were atrocious).

For example, nearly every time Jones was in the single-back set the Jets ran. When Jones / Washington lined-up of to the side of the QB it was a screen pass or straight pass. When the Jets came out in the spread it was obvious they were passing.

It seems like Shotty decided playcalling by series with no attempt to disguise what the Jets were going to do. It was either a run on 1st/2nd kind of drive or a pass on 1st/2nd kind of drive.

Now I haven't played organized football, but it seems to me that knowing within about a 90% certainty that a play was going to be a run or a pass would make your job much easier.

    Am I wrong?

There's a reason the Pats players call Mangini Fredo Corleone.
