The leading receiver on the Jets, Decker, has fewer reception yds than 15 TE's in the league. 35 WR's have more yards than Decker.

Only Jacksonville and Oakland (who is on bye and has only played 4 games) have scored fewer points overall and fewer pts / game.

The Jets are dead last in passing yds / game

Only Matt Cassel has a lower QBR

I agree but Decker has been injured and has missed a bunch of snaps, so those Decker stats are pretty misleading.

The offense is a complete joke and has been for a long time under Rex.

This is a passing, TD driven league. So of course the Jets build a team against that philosophy.

Draft a QB, build up your O-Line to protect him, and go get some receivers to group with Decker and Kerley.

Eric Decker, Jeremy Kerley, and Jace Amaro are the only pass catchers on this team worth a damn. That's not nearly enough in today's NFL.

Stupid stat to bring up. Decker has missed a ton of time.

Underyling point is correct, this is a very embarrassing offense.

You're missing the point.. their HURT WR who has only played 3 games is still their leading receiver... that's the joke, no other WR with 5 games under his belt could surpass Decker.

I'm not missing the point. The point is that the offense blows, which I agreed with.

You just worded it strangely. But now that you have clarified, I gotcha. Some quality behind Decker would be nice.

What offense? We didn't score a single point. If anything its the unoffensive. This team is beyond help.

  12. It's time to ditch this "win with defense" crap & build a real offense.

The biggest culprit is the passing game & deeper within that it's beating the blitz. It seems like going back to CHAD this team has struggled w. making teams pay for blitzing;especially on the road.

Once a defense learns that there is no accountability for sending extra rushers..you're done for in today's NFL. Your OL starts playing flustered, WR's stop running their full routes, your running game becomes stale, your QB loses poise & gets beat up.

Everybody always wants to pin the problem on "picking up the blitz". Honestly I don't see an issue there. OL/RB/TE groupings are average league wide at it. The QBs/skills just either aren't utilizing hot routes, don't anticipate where the blitzes are coming from or simply don't execute.

    Make the blitz pay.

On a smart team, Decker is held out for 3-4 games to let that hammy heal.

On the Jets, he comes back 4 straight games and keeps re-injuring it, and is only held out when the Jets are actually facing a tough conference opponent.
