Well today my bro & I visited Jack London Sq in Oakland CA looking for TGGers & sorry to say 24 or so hours before the game I did not find any TGGers or for that matter any NYJ fan in NYJ gear. For anyone not familiar with JLS it is a real tourist destination. It has hotel & shops & is only a few miles from the Stadium
I mean no offense, but as someone who lived up there, I never found any reason to spend time in Oakland other than for games. People very well could be in SF an going to the game tomorrow. Of course, it's also a stadium I won't go to anymore, so there's that as well. Saw an old man who got harassed in the bathroom for wearing the wrong jersey at a game to the point he pissed himself. 5 or 6 of them and no one else in there bothered to say shit. Raider fans are absolute degenerates. Watch what you say, my friend. Also had my car fucked with because of the Jets stickers I had on there. Great place.
Well it is the day before the game so most NYJ fans are already in town & would be exploring the tourist destinations as I mentioned such as JLS. I also sought of expected that many NYJ fans would be staying in Oak & if they wanted to go to SF they would take the water ferry from Oak to SF which departs from JLS I certainly hope tomorrow I bump into a TGGer or to who made there way to the game
No doubt, it's surprising that you didn't see anybody. It's just not a big draw stadium. More Jet fans at Candlestick in 98 and every Qualcomm game I've been to than any Raider game, with the possible exception of our 02 playoff game. Still, it's not tough to get to if you were to stay in SF for the weekend.
Thanks for worrying about me but I brought along several gym grunts to protect me so I have no worries about that  The question is where are the TGGers or the Jet Nation. That was extremely disappointing trip to that tourist destination & after spending several hours there I could not find one  BTW I think you may be giving way to much credit to the Raider fans who I doubt most highly have not the fainest idea what SLW represents
Bring weapons if you go. I have heard Oakland fans have calmed down a bit at the end of last year, but I wouldn't go to that stadium without an army. Those fans are the scum of the earth. You would be treated better @ a Patriots game...and that is saying something.
Well according to the papers the game has been sold out in time so it will not be blacked out in the Bay area :jets: I am staying south of SF in my bro's home
The Raider implemented a policy that the gates only open 2 hours before the game for T/gating As for the fans I am looking forward to seeing how they act live & in person
Oakland has the best BBQ joints on the West coast. If Flynt's is still around do yourself a favor and check it out. As for the fans in the stadium, it's like a GWAR concert.
The upshot is that after that horseshit against the 49ers, they'll be more careful. I've also heard they're not as bad as they were when they had a good team around 2000 when I went every year. Either way, have fun.
H'mm I wonder how many Raider fans you have met to come to that SLW judgement. You do realize of course that the Bay area is home to such firms as Facebook, Twiitter, YT, Yahoo, Google just to name a few so I think you may be way off base because the say the Bay area is Nerdville USA. I found the Raider fans quite decent & very passionate about there team. No difference then us NYJ fans. When you go to the other teams stadium what more would U expect? A full house of NYJ fans? Doubtful right? A 1/2 full stadium of NYJ fans? Doubtful again right? Even a 1/4 of stadium full of NYJ fans? I would say doubtful a 3rd time right? Well yesterday NONE of that was the case so I was not the least bit shocked by it. In fact say compared to a game in Miami there were hardly any NYJ fans & in case you are interested the ones I met were unaware of the TGG For those veterans of Shea Stadium that may read this the Raider stadium reminded me of my days of watching the NYJs play @ Shea For all those STH that moan/groan about everything beer was $10.00 a cup PARKING was $35.00 which makes Woody looking like a saint compared to Al Davis  :jets:
