that is awesome penny. glad to see you getting some great guests. it would be awesome if you could get Joe Klecko or Kenny O'Brien (not the one from England who used to be addicted to glo-sticks...the OTHER ONE..the REAL one...just to be clear) on the show!!! A little on Victor Green for any Jets fans who might not remember him. He had a heck of a career especially when you consider that he was an UDFA. He had talent AND a lot of heart. Green played his college ball at Akron and entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 1993. By 1994, Green was the Jets' starting strong safety. He played for the Jets through the 2001 season. Green played the 2002 season with the New England Patriots and the 2003 season with the New Orleans Saints. On April 4, 2006, he signed with the Jets so that he could retire on the team with which he started his career. In 2003, Green was honored by being named a member of the Jets Four-Decade Team.
@PennyandtheJets Penny, would it be a permissible for me to ask Victor Green a question about the 85 Bears. A simple yes or no will suffice. Thanks!
Just get him to flex on camera. I saw a picture of him (maybe from last year) and that dude is jacked for 50 years old or whatever he is now.
this is pretty cool, good luck with this endeavor. ill definitely head over and follow. victor green was one of my all time favorite jets. he was a solid player on some poor teams and on some of the better teams i have seen from the jets. hope he is well and good luck with the interview.
This is awesome my first ever childhood favorite Jets Safety! @PennyandtheJets I have a great one guaranteed to make the cut too. 1.) Ask him for what his top 3 All-Time favorite Jets moments and memories were (tell him let him know DWC from TGG wants to know!. 1 is too easy. Might mention getting drafted. But 3 will make him brainstorm without overkill.
I loved Victor Green. I was at the game in Miami when he took back the pick 6... which turned into a 24-6 route (so awesome because I drove 5 hours and a college buddy had season tix and said "I want you here in person when the streak ends" (jets won like 6 or 7 in a row at that point)... Next season when he went to the Pats, it was bittersweet to see him return a Vinny pick-6... but I was sitting in the bar watching, and wont like, wasnt upset to see it (was mad the JETS let him go)
Thank you for sharing all of this! Why don’t you send in a Mailbag question for Victor? I am planning on asking him questions from Jets fans. You can respond here or you can email nyjtoday@gmail.com
It might be a typo but the Jets shut them out that day 24-0. One of only 4 road shut outs in Jets history.
Yes. That's right..... my friend's dad wanted to leave early. (I was one Jets fan in our group of 4)..... HELL NO. I was leading a JETS chant up top and Parking lot was a ghost town when we got back to the car....
