that's odd, they made that game week 2 of the preseason instead of week 3. Did they screw us and make that the 1st game at the new Stadium?
That's actually week 1 of the preseason(the 1st week after the HOF game). We got screwed, they bow to the giants again. The giants get to participate in the 1st pre and reg season game at the Stadium.
They would definitely do a joint opening then. There's no way in hell they'd make us sit on the sidelines while the Giants celebrated their grand opening. That would be a smack in the face.
http://nfl.fanhouse.com/2010/03/31/2010-nfl-preseason-schedule/ Preseason Week 1 Aug. 12 -- Carolina Panthers at Baltimore Ravens (ESPN) Aug. 16 -- New York Giants at New York Jets (ESPN) I'm pretty sure they're going to do a joint grand opening celebration with Jets on one endzone and Giants in the other.
I guess its fair but its getting a little gay already. The worst part about being good is the loss of Sunday at 1pm. Two MNF games and one Thanksgiving night game and the schedule is not even out.
That's horseshit. In order to be fair about the whole coin flip thing they gave us the first PREseason game, and then they let the Giants have that with us too? Am I missing something here? I'm not gonna cry or anything, but that's a bunch of crap.
Who cares, were getting the first Superbowl celebrations and playoff wins in the new stadium. Thats all that matters to me
We are BUT the thought was we'd open preseason and they would open the reg season but by moving our traditional week 3 preseason game up to week 1 they let the Giants do both.
We're hosting the game from what I've read, which means the Giants will be the away team. Since this game will be televised nationally, it'll take the luster away from the Giants having the first official season opener. What's more, we get the first Monday night game hosting the stadium. I'd say we got the better end of the deal.
Maybe it's because the Giants are all sold but 1500 seats, giving the Jets a little more time to get things in order. I imagine a lot has to be done prior so that could be it.
So true. What ever happened to Saturday night preseason games? All day to tailgate and no need to take time off of work the next day. The way things are going the other preseason game will be on a Thursday.
Fuck it. It'll never be fair. Thats near impossible to do when you share a Stadium. We will just need to get the cred and get the trophy.
pre season powder keg game...fights on the field and fights in the stands, concessions and restrooms!!LOL!!
