Personally, I 'd love to see Taylor get a chance. The guy reminds me of Leon in so many ways; small, quick, never stops his feet, jukes and immediately gets moving up-field again. I think he can be a great kick returner for us, and perhaps more down the road. As much as I've come to love Clowney as a person, he's more than had his share of opportunities on the football field. Time to give someone else a shot.
Taylor was ridiculous as a KR for the Montreal Alouettes last year.....I believe he could be beneficial to the ST unit this year, despite his size. I hope he beats out Clowney.
If we have to go the undersized route I hope we get Banks from the Redskins when he get cut. But honestly with McKnight on PR and B. Smith on KR I'm ok with what we have already on the team...
Not to mention when Revis comes back Kyle Wilson also will be seeing some returning action. Plus Leonard/Cotchery both have experience taking back punts. I dont feel like we need an extra guy for returns like Taylor.
If Wilson sees return action Westhoff should get fired. We have far more expendable guys on the roster.
Clowney needs to defend his preseason all pro wide receiver title. He has been an utter disgrace this preseason.
^^^ yep. further, no less than Bruce Harper didn't have Brett Ratliff chucking to him at the Brownie's "2's" during the 2nd half of that lighting-shortened game at Cleveland..
^^^^ p.s. Braylon Edwards (that opening drive) 'schooling' our DB's (who?) .... recall that 'down-and-out' vs.... tanny, pleeeze... jmo
