I don't post in off topic but I just wanted to say I hope everybody and your families are okay, it has just made the BBC 6pm news. Shocking scenes. Stay safe @Brook! move it to where you think it belongs.
My town was a fucking disaster this morning driving to work (central Jersey). I'm a 35 min drive on a good day and I had to drive four different ways before I eventually found a way out of town. 25+ abandoned cars, at least two dead in submerged vehicles. Cars battered and destroyed. I drove a bridge that was ripped to absolute shreds and all of the top layer of concrete displaced. I knew it rained hard last night when I tried to take my dogs out and got 15 steps into the rain and looked like I got out of the pool. I didn't realize the destruction though. Damn. It was a warzone. Hope everyone was safe.
I’m in DE. A friends house got hit by a tornado yesterday. He lost a wall on one side and like half his roof caved in. He and his wife are fine though and he’s insured so they’re in good shape in that regard.
