    Don’t get too down.
From someone who watches just about every Hurricanes game, they are playing unbelievable Hockey right now.
They have scored 36 goals in the last 9 games, in this 11 game unbeaten and 17 game point streak.
They have been slicing through everyone lately.

This game is giving me flashbacks of the USA vs the Soviets in 1980.

Specifically the exhibition game we lost 10-3 at the Garden. All the bounces went to the Red Army team because they worked much harder than we did and they stick-checked like every lunge could mean the end of the world.

That "Playing with a broken stick" penalty had to be one of the worst calls I have ever seen.

I could go either way on that one.

The stick broke and he held it without realizing it apparently and then he turned and touched the puck with the broken stick, then he dropped it.

One of the reasons for the rule is that broken sticks are really dangerous and I think if there is any question whether he held on to it purposely or not you have to make the call. It's too easy to get into real gray areas where a player holds onto the stick for effect and then drops it. The effect being that other players know a broken stick is dangerous also and shy away from contact.

Fully Agreed. But it is not like he was skating with the broken stick, and he dropped it the second he realized what happened.

There were a bunch of weak calls last night.

Rangers v Canadians may just be the best looking game uniform-wise you’ll ever see.

Such a team friendly deal. One of the best defensive players in all of hockey and he can slide up and down the lineup, although I wouldn’t want him playing in the top 6 for more than couple games at a time.

Gallant using Lafreniere over Kakko in OT is laughable.

Lafreniere is genuinely one of the Rangers worst forwards.

Nevermind the captaincy, how is Trouba still on this team?

Fleury is the third most winningest goalie in NHL history. That’s pretty crazy.

Kakko is really coming on. Need to keep him on line 1 until the goals start coming.

Trouba was not in the same freaking zip code as Kaprizov when he scored that goal. How can ANYONE question why Teouba gets as much criticism as he does? What kind of leadership is that?!?!

First, I never claimed to be an expert on cats. I claimed my daughter was an expert on cats.

Secondly, I have given Kaapo Kakko plenty of accolades for his improvement this year. Its kind of amusing that he has EXACTLY a many points as Lafreniere who many people here want to see off this team.

This is just atrocious. If it weren't for two other players being injured in this game, I would have benched his sorry ass for this lazy crap defense.
