i was expecting a tough game but... in the end... perspective....
This X 100
woulda liked a more COMFORTABLE W... but... take it...
Georgie w/ 36 saves!
Had the Rangers -1.5 last night, brutal but I'll take a W.
Rangers passing the Shesty injured test.
Georgiev looked just fine last night.
No Reason to rush Shesty back whatsoever.
tough to get shutout... but we actuallyu outshot them...
didnt see hilites....
Nemeth and Hajek are a brutal pairing.
I kinda expected a letdown after that streak, and the Avalanche are GOOD
Good teams seem to present a problem for the rangers.
When I am the voice of reason, there is a real problem......
The New York Rangers, a team that failed to make the playoffs last in the toughest revised division in hockey are sitting firmly in 6th place in the Eastern Conference and third in their division. Their record is 18-7-1.
Of their 7 regulation losses, SIX of them are against playoff teams.
Let's relax a little here?
Wouldn't that tend to suggest that they're beating up on the weaker teams (which is admittedly what you need to do over a long season) but struggling against the better ones? I'm all for optimism, but "playoff teams" are the ones you ultimately need to beat. You know, in the playoffs.
Last year, they couldn't beat the weaker teams. This year they can. To me, that is progress.
I don't have words for this first period right now.
How many games now w/o Igor?
also...seems like a BUNCH of back to back games... do all teams do this?
Take the win, and get out of town! I just hope Panarin is not seriously hurt.
Minor lower body injury.
Its my fault. I just bought his jersey!
Perspective on the recent games: the Rangers were coming off a long streak of success, Igor was hurt but Georgiev played very well, we still won as many as we lost.
That said it would be nice to get Shesty back and know that the backup is still good enough as long as we score a few goals.
