This guy may be a twittering retard....and a couple of indians short of a full tribe (the "All of our receivers have great hands" comment proves that one). But he can stretch the field.

Maybe he's a "preseason wonder"....but given that the cupboard is bare in regards to the WR open market....I'm hoping Clowney steps up and becomes our everyday deep threat.

Not fair to call him pre-season wonder. Got hurt badly -- made one catch last season. And it was a great catch.

cant stand the criticism that players take for celebrating. Except where they are losing30-0 -- to me -- there is nothing wrong -- even if its over the top.

Clowney has really impressed me from last season when he caught those two 80+yd Bombs in Cleveland from Ratliff. He just has to stay healthy and I hope he will get a spot on the team. Cotchery, Clowney, Stucky & Wallace Wright can really start lighting the scoreboard and make fabulous catches with plenty of YAC's under their belt.

Once Ryan taps Sanchez officially as the starting QB for this team, watch him give our WR's plenty of chances to air them out and land right into their hands for a TD.

I haven't seen enough from anyone else on this roster to say that Clowney is just a preseason wonder. We know Brad Smith has regressed significantly since Mangini made him split time that one season at QB, and we know that Stuckey is a nice open field guy who looks like he can contribute in the slot.

No one other than Cotchery on this roster has ever shown themselves to be more than a 4th option. I think the door is open, and so far, Clowney has separated himself moreso than anyone else.

I'm willing to give Clowney a chance....

like i said...he can stretch the field...which will open up our run game.

I wish he never would've discovered Twitter.....and that his offseason preparation included more things like film & playbook study...instead of partying.

BUT HE SOUNDS LIKE A FOOL ON TWITTER!

I actually think Stuckey looks pretty good, Clemens telegraphed that pass to him and he still made the first d-back miss him with an ankle-breaking juke. He's not a burner and anyone who expects him to be is going to be sorely disappointed... but I like his hands and he runs some pretty good routes, and he had very quick feet. I think Stuckey will probably win the #2 spot and Clowney will end up be split wide in 3 WR sets with Stuckey in the slot. Having 2 possession receivers starting in a ball-control offense would be ideal in my mind for a rookie like Sanchez.

That's probably what's going to happen but I'd like to see Clowney step up and take the #2 spot outright. Stuckey's best work is going to be in the slot but I don't think he'll bring much more than Cotchery; a possession guy who is just more quick and than strong. Clowney would give the Jets the deep threat on every down and keep the d-backs honest against the deep ball, not to mention force more mismatches with Keller and keep the safeties off of him. If the Jets go with Cotch and Stuckey defenses are going creep up and play the underneath routes more aggressively. Otherwise the team is going to have to send Keller deep much more often than would probably be best for him.

I still think Matt Jones would be a god pickup.

Maybe he has bad hands just in practice because everytime i see him play in real time he has great hands and makes big plays. The one play i saw him on last year he made a nice one handed grab from favre. An he has great speed to stretch the field. He's a player.
