For a kicker?........I think it means all the football players rubbed his head and he said something back to them in a foreign language.
It would be nice to get him back by the NE game. Eventually, we are going to have a game come down to a 43 yard kick. If we make it, we win, If we don't, we lose. Every team has at least one of these every season . . . and I just don't trust Feely to make the kick.
He made a big one to send the Oakland game to OT. It gets lost because we lost the game, but he made a huge kick there. He also has made a 52-yarder. I'm wondering what they'll do when Nugent is ready.
Good point. (Although, remember that he actually did miss his first attempt on that but got bailed out by the Raiders calling a timeout to "freeze" him, right before snap - don't get me wrong, he deserves credit for making a long kick, with the game on the line, in a hostile environmnent) However, he has missed 4 kicks this season that were all quite makeable and he just scares me in critical situations. (I thought the kick he missed against the Pats really hurt our early momentum in that game) I also just think that Nugent is a better kicker with a better leg.)
After keeping Nugent on the roster, they damn well better play him when healthy. What level of incompetence is required to not put him on IR otherwise?
Yeah, overall I like Nugent better, and there was probably a reason why Feely was available after the season started. I just think if he keeps making big kicks it could force a decision when Nugent comes back. Regarding the Oakland kick, depending on whether you want to believe him, Feely said he heard the whistle and took a practice kick anyway. Once he knew he had the distance he straightened out the next one enough to put it through. Kickers.
I don't want him coming back until he is fully healthy. Feely has been adequate and there's no need to get Nugent injured further where we can't use him down the stretch.
I hear you, however, do you actually prefer Feely to nugent? Because if you don't (and I'm not sure how you could) then you should hope he gets back as soon as possible.
