If this organization hires this loser I will not be inspired to watch this team as long as he is here. Another thing, NO to Favre. Retire already. You gave it one last go and it didn't work out. Hang it up already.

It's going to be Mooch. Favre will pressure Woody until it's done.

    Who do you want champ?

    I wouldn't mind Mooch.

We could do a lot worse than Marty, though he definitely wouldn't be my first choice. After we just fired his son, he's probably not real interested in the Jets anyway.

We didn't fire his son, he is still under contract as are all the other coaches.

I agree that Marty is washed up, and was going downhill in his last seasons in the NFL...but whats wrong with Callahan? I think our run blocking was a bright point in the season, especially when you have one RB rush for over 1,300yds, and another in Leon who averages 6yds per rush. I even think our pass protection was OK, and not nearly as bad as 2yrs ago. I think Callahan did a very good job. Schott Jr. needs to go...he can't figure out if he wants to be a running offense, or a passing offense. It almost looks as if Schott gets tired of giving the ball to TJ, so he'll go into 7 straight shotgun formations. Then, when he's tired of the shotgun, he'll give it to Leon a few times. Then back to passing, then maybe 8 plays later give it to TJ again. I think he had three great play calling games (and obviously Favre decided to play well those two games) in Ariz, Tenn and NE. Other than that, he showed me zero. Now I'm not sure when it's 3rd and 1, if its Mangini who agrees to go into the shotgun, or Schott??? But both need to go. But I in no way blame Callahan for this.

I'm going out on a limb here and saying that I'm going to hate 90% of the names that get bandied about. Maybe that's just the mood I'm in right now.

I don't really think they would have fired Mangini so quickly if they didn't have someone in mind to go after, and somehow I don't think it's Marty or Mooch. I don't think it's Callahan or Westhoff. I think it's Spags or Cowher.

Oh my God. The Swiss Family Schottenheimer running the Jets. Kill me now. Smother me with a pillow. Hit me over the head with a rock. It just doesn't matter.

Schottenheimer could very well hire brother, Kurt, to run the defense; the two have worked together in previous seasons. (UPDATE: We incorrectly referred previously to Kurt as being Marty's son.)

The only thing worse then one Shottenheimer is three Shottenheimers. I will start my very own "I'm Done with the Jets" threads if this happens.

Where is the proof of this? Mike F has commented numerous times about how the coaches are all still under contract.
