Its good to hear positive things come from our players about a new coach. While the media continues to rip us, its good to see Keller is believing in Sparano. He goes on to say that things are much different now than before in terms of coaching style and the attention Sparano commands.
Definitely a good thing to hear but, to be honest, I think they say that all the time no matter what. I don't think I've ever heard a player say that since a new OC has come in (or any coach...in any sport, really) it's been really relaxed and nobody really pays attention to them, etc. But if it's true then, yes, definitely good to know that he's going to hold people more accountable.
Sparano's system alone should be enough to pull out 1 or 2 more wins this upcoming season. And improved defense (fingers crossed) should add another 1 or 2. Taking into account Sanchez improvement (should he) and the Tebow factor...possibly another 1 or 2 wins. Take into account the factor that some opponents may improve as well, we should be headed for a 10~12 win season and a WC spot. As much as I want to win the division, its going to take Brady retiring, being injured, or really being on the back end of his career for that to happen - IMO.
The Patriots still have a suspect defense. Butt they definitely added onto their already prolific offense which is scary. I get that new coaches won't receive harsh comments as they first begin to acclimate themselves into the organization, but for Keller to comment on the past being more relaxed and today being more focused is good for me.
Or beating Brady to a bloody pulp in both meetings. If the defense can improve getting to the QB. We can throw off their timing on the routes. This will be key Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk 2
I dream of a future where the Jets have a great pass rush and still have corners like Revis and Cromartie.
Maybe we have a few less false start penalties this season. Those were real drive killers. Of course, we didn't need new coaches and a scheme to do that. We could've just cut Mulligan.
He's with the Rams. With the prettyboy Schottenheimer. And league's worst OL Man, I am excited to watch Bradford soar beyond human imagination and become the worst QB he can possibly be this season.
No, it takes an offense. And I'll lay this out there right now. Sanchez will go north of 60% compl. percentage, and 90+ QBR, which would have put him close to the top 10 last year. If the Tebow package works out the way we hope it will, This offense can be as good as the Defense.
Knew it. You will be rooting against the Rams. Too funny. You should paint a picture of Schotty on the bottom of your toilet bowl, or did you do that already?
Oh no. I am not rooting AGAINST the Rams. Frankly I don't care. If they do succeed, then sure. I was wrong about Schottenheimer. I just do not expect that to happen in this millennium. They have no OL to speak of (Rams OL is like having WFH playing all five. Literally.) so both their running game and passing game suffer big time. It is not even like they invested good amount of talent up front as of late either - the likes of Roger Saffolds is up front and other than Harvey Dahl (who I consider is slightly below average) I don't know who is there to provide adequate protection. Watch this: If you swap the Florida state jersey/uniform with Rams uniform, that's what Bradford will look like next year, running for his dear life all season long. (LOL) If past body of work is any indication, Bradford will take minimum 32 sacks throughout the year. (That is 2 sacks a game, or two stalled drives per game.) This season Rams OL gave up ~3.5/game (55 total, #1 in the league) so cutting that down by the range of 2.x is a huge improvement - that I can admit. That still means Bradford will be running for his dear life all season long. Poor kid. Seriously, I would hate to be Sam Bradford these days. The OL sucks beyond human comprehension, and now Schottenheimer is in town. Last, he has no weapon to speak of. That's like triple whammy right there. =================================================================== At least Jets have OL, with some weapons here and there. Now discipline is coming to town, so we will see how Sparano's approach pans out, and what that will do to Sanchez. (Had to chip this part in, so as to not hijack this thread into yet another Schottenheimer joke.)
The Jets Players sound more and more like they have been listening to "self-help" tapes. Tony Robbins kind of stuff. LMAo
Discipline and accountability is definitely Sparano's strong suit. During Dolphins training camp he used to know off the top of his head how many reps every single player on the roster received.
Funny. That does NOT describe Rex Ryan. Funny how the mantra now is "DISCIPLINE!" What happened to loosen it up, make the game fun? The OP's article makes Sparano sound a lot more like Mangini than Ryan. I suppose this shit goes in cycles.
