Beginning Thursday, September 4, 2008, NJ TRANSIT will replace No. 351 Bus service with a new rail/bus shuttle service between Penn Station New York and the Meadowlands Sports Complex via Secaucus Junction Rail Station. With the launch of this new service, Bus No. 351 will no longer operate to the Meadowlands from the Port Authority Bus Terminal.

Here?s how the new service works: Customers traveling to the Meadowlands for sporting events, concerts and other major events will board trains at Penn Station New York (PSNY) and transfer at Secaucus to waiting shuttle buses to the Meadowlands. Regular $10 roundtrip tickets will be sold at all PSNY ticket windows and ticket vending machines. For major events, dedicated ticket windows will be available at PSNY for your convenience.

If there is access from the turnpike to that RR transfer station & you can park there that sounds like a great alternative to the parking problems as well as maybe beating the traffic jams after the game.

Yeah...ridiculous. Now you have to get to Penn Station, then hop on a bus after the subway to the NJ Transit. Unreal...My guess is that they are trying to cater to LI fans who come into Penn Station. And also make it easier for NJ Transit people to get to the stadium from Secaucus. Stil sux...SCREWED AGAIN

Here are the directions from the turnpike...But I have no clue what their parking capacity is at that station???

    FROM THE NJ TURNPIKE:
Exit at 16E, stay in the left lane and follow the signs to Secaucus, at the traffic light make a left onto Paterson Plank Road. At the next light make another left onto County Avenue. Take County Avenue to the end and bear right at the fork. Go over the railroad track and make a left at the second driveway. Make the first right, which will place you at the Automobile/Taxi/ Private bus pick up and drop off area at the Secaucus Junction Station.

What the fuck? This is so stupid. When you take the bus to the game once you're on it, it takes 10minutes max. This is definitely going to be significantly longer.

It used to be fantastic...get on the bus at 10am, beer in hand, have your own lane into the Lincoln Tunnel...you're right, 10-15min trip. Now its planes, trains, and automobiles to get to the game.

This might actually be quicker than waiting in Traffic to get back into the City.

You mean there is actually riff raff at our home games? Really hard to believe especially since most say we never actually show up for the games anyway

By the end of last season the only people still going were the riff-raff like me with our grills and booze. The ones they want to get rid of with their 5-star restaurant.

the secaucus station doesn't have any parking. it was just created as a junction to switch trains from different lines going into ny (or coming outa it). therez a pick-up/drop-off area, that's about it. but no parking.

This is the exit for the Secaucus Junction... there will not be a series of parking levels at the Junction for at least 2 years... and even then, it will not be allowed to be used for game day traffic... the town voted that part down since they would not build a residents only parking garage as one of the 6 garages to be built there

How can it not be used for "game day traffic", when starting this year, everyone going to the game via public transportation has to connect through Secaucus Junction??

The parking garages that will be at Secaucus Junction will not be used for Game Day traffic... PARKING GARAGES... they are yet to be built as well

You can drive to the transfer station, but you cannot park there. There isn't a parking lot.

wow thinking about it, that really sucks!! You are going to quadruple the travel time (at least).

I think it is also they want more traffic going through the junction. It is pretty dead. Also fyi! there is a bar in the junction!!
