I feel like one solid thread for tracking no-hitters throughout the season would be a good idea.

Just a few nights after Tim Lincecum took a no-no bid into the seventh inning, fellow Giant Jonathan Sanchez pitched a no-hitter today and was one error away from a perfect game. Third baseman Juan Uribe made an error with one out in the eighth.

Sanchez had just re-entered the rotation after an ugly start to the season and demotion to the bullpen.

Jonathan Sanchez of the San Francisco Giants fires the first no-hitter of 2009, and the first Giants no hitter since 1976! That piece of crap Juan Uribe cost him the perfect game with an 8th inning error. He better buy that man a rolex or something. Giants beat the Padres 8-0.

Concidering all the good pitchers to come out of SF, it's surprising this was the first no-no in over 30 years. But the Giants lack of success in the Bay makes it all the more believeable.
