Game 1 is Thursday night, October 9.

Sounds like it'll be Lowe against Hamels.

Some healthy line movement for Game 1. Opened in the high LA +140s and +150s in some places. Palms had it at +151 at 8am and by 8pm they moved it down to +130 which is good news considering the public was hammering LAD. Lowe is money in October

Manny and Torre on the path to redemption (justification)?

I'm wearing Dodger Blue for the next few weeks.

Eh. If it were Philly/Boston in the Series, I'd be cheering my heart out for Philly. I'd have trouble rooting for the Sawx against the Soviets.

The hard part has been getting here. I wonder how all this rest is going to affect everyone, we were on a roll there.

You don't live in Philly. A Phillie WS would be a living nightmare for me. Only thing saving me is that the Phillies are clearly #2 to the Eagles no matter how the teams do.

Game 2, with Billingsley against Wife Beater, gets started in an hour or so.

The whole Mannywood thing should give Yankees fans a hearty chuckle. His revitalization. The haircut negotiations. The baseball world's new-found love of Manny. His Sox-subsidized salary. His double playoff share if the Red Sox play the Dodgers. Hell, it makes ME laugh, before I kick through the nearest wall.

I've got two questions: First, I heard Tim McCarver say that he was going to talk about Manny's despicable conduct during the broadcast of the game last night. Did he? And what did he say? Second, I heard someone on talk radio mention something about Manny going up to Ned Colletti after the NLDS and joyfully declaring that he wanted a "five-year contract to stay in L.A. forever," or some such thing. Was I hearing things, or did someone else hear the same thing? Five years?? HAH!

EDIT: Yup. I guess that second part is correct.

Dodgers have 1 and are looking for more.

    Wife beater getting knocked around.
