The whole Mannywood thing should give Yankees fans a hearty chuckle. His revitalization. The haircut negotiations. The baseball world's new-found love of Manny. His Sox-subsidized salary. His double playoff share if the Red Sox play the Dodgers. Hell, it makes ME laugh, before I kick through the nearest wall. I've got two questions: First, I heard Tim McCarver say that he was going to talk about Manny's despicable conduct during the broadcast of the game last night. Did he? And what did he say? Second, I heard someone on talk radio mention something about Manny going up to Ned Colletti after the NLDS and joyfully declaring that he wanted a "five-year contract to stay in L.A. forever," or some such thing. Was I hearing things, or did someone else hear the same thing? Five years?? HAH! EDIT: Yup. I guess that second part is correct.
