This sucks! I am a Reebok guy myself. Fits better for some reason. Oh well.

The reason I'm upset about this--all 32 NFL teams having some small tweaks. Just leave the uniforms alone whether there is a swoosh or not. Leave ours alone, the bears, the browns, the packers, etc.

Leave the old originals alone. Even if there is a swoosh on them now.

I guess I could forsee where Nike just modernizes and makes everything look sleeker, adds a swish; and maybe leaves our traditional unis alone along with a bunch of other teams. Right?

Doesn't Nike do all the uniforms for hockey?

I know they made teams change their uniforms, but only minor changes that make them look much sleaker. The generally older and more traditional jerseys are all the same.

Ok, just e-mailed my contact w/ Nike... he responded the following (and if you're wondering why I'm a little perturbed about this issue, I just spent $180 on a new authentic this year)'

    > is it possible that there will have uniforms that remain the exact same?

Yes. Depends on the teams. Nike has worked with NFL teams before. Some teams underwent drastic changes (Broncos); others didn't change at all (Giants, Cowboys). We shall see.

not a good time for Reebok. They may also lose headwear to New Era for the sideline caps.

I think the Jets will see a change in uniforms due to our recent surge in popularity. New uniforms will spike jersey sales if the team is hot.

I liked the minor differences that the Starter and Nike version of our jerseys had. Hopefully they don't change them much.

When we first went back to these uniforms in 1998 it was Starter, in 1999 it was Nike. After that I stopped paying attention.

another source (Mike Florio who runs pro football talk) just said to me in email that changing the uniforms will still remain a team decision; and that Nike has a lot more pull with that over colleges; that doesn't mean that NFL teams have to give in and change b/c nike wants them to.

I love Nike athletic stuff, though I hope the Jets decide to leave the uniforms the way they are.

Perhaps the helmet could get tweaked.

Reebok does the jerseys for the NHL. Before that was CCM (which is now owned by Reebok).

Nike does the hockey jerseys for the Olympics I believe, not 100% sure though.

I believe Nike was '99 and '00 and we went to Reebok in 2001, I'm not sure iof the league went to reebok that year as teams used to be able to make their own deals. I have bad memories of the Nike ones w/ those 2 disappointing years wearing them.

Personally I don't care if its nike, reebok, under armour, or whatever... But what I'm wondering is if we'll be able to score some really cheap Reebok jerseys once these change over.

Very small differences, few would even notice, the shoulder stripes were different.

I'm hoping Nike doesn't change shit, though.

well now I'm hearing that the decision is the organization. The changes would be with the fabric and VERY suddle changes in the material; not a change of actual UNIFORMS. That decision would still be each organizations
