https://www.cbssports.com/college-f...ning-coach-72-exits-alabama-after-17-seasons/ This isn’t going to get much run in the NCAA forum. What a career though. Went from ground and pound and defense to passing and defense. Would’ve liked to see him run it back one more time with Milroe.
Portal, Conferences falling apart and or becoming meaningless, NIL -- now you don't just recruit, you have have to worry about retention and all the trouble these guys are going to get in with all that money (at least when it was under the table they had to hide it a little). I wouldn't want to be a college coach these days--and it's going to get worse, not better.
I just don’t get how the NCAA implemented this NIL crap like the a bunch of cowboys with absolutely no oversight. My first interpretation of it was dislike but at the same time I was like meh some guys are gonna make money off commercials for big bowl games and the playoffs. Meanwhile recruits are getting seven figure deals out of high school and I’ve still never seen a Quinn Ewers ad as an example. The boosters just hand these guys huge checks under the guise of getting an ad deal that doesn’t exist?
