Jets | Team moving to sell stadium name
    Mon, 19 Jun 2006 20:16:42 -0700

Richard Sandomir, of the New York Times, reports the New York Jets, along with the New York Giants, took a step toward marketing the naming rights to their new stadium Monday, June 19. The teams have decided on Wasserman Media Group to sell the stadium rights. Casey Wasserman, chairman of Wasserman Media Group, would not suggest a figure that would be his starting point for negotiations and said that no other deal would be a benchmark. He added, "It's two of the most important teams in the most important league in the world. This is unique, and maybe nothing like this will be done again."
