Just posting this to reiterate what an overreaction most Jet fan are having. It's just one mans opinion but I agree with this statement. The Ravens had nearly double the TOP, and that is mainly because our offense had 6 total first downs, and stupid penalties. Get over it, mantra should be beat the Pats and Phins and first is ours. "10. Jets (0-1): Your defense gives up 10 points at home, you figure it’s a win. Not this time, as Jets are 1-of-11 on third-down conversions and fall to Ravens" http://www.newsday.com/sports/footb...811959/nfl-week-1-power-rankings-1.2286259?p=
If you ain't first.... you're last! In all honesty that statement about the Ravens offense being good enough to move the chains should have included a shout-out to the Jets for ill-timed penalties on 3rd downs.
6 of the top 10 teams in that list are AFC teams. Personally, I think the Vikings are a few steps back.
Good to see someone who isn't doom and gloom. There were a fair number of possitives last night. The front 7 was great an we held Rice in check. I say 10 is a fair rating.
NFL.com's guys were inconsistent. The Jets were either in the 12-17 or 1-8... it was interesting to see how no one agrees, which makes power ranking irrelevant.
Id put the Ravens ahead of the Saints at this point. Excellent defense and a solid offense. Best balance of any team in the NFL IMHO.
