I think it's fairly obvious the NFL schedule makers still think the Jets are a good team? They appear in primetime 6 times through their first 11, and they have a London game, and the Dolphins game is a flex game. By my count, that's potentially 8 primetime appearances. I just hope their right. Honestly, I think if it weren't for the Jets having bad luck they wouldn't have any luck at all.
The schedule kind of stacks up well theoretically to allow the Oline to get their feet under them while the team remains competitive. Theories are fun.
Not for nuthin, but that chit always seemed like orchestrated standard pratice in the past with the Jets and the Raiders to the Jets extreme disfavor. We always used "Jetlagged" as a pun and excuse for the upcoming implosion to follow.
I'll be in London in September and will have to watch the opener on line at 2AM GMT. The schedule maker was a month late for me with the October date.
Welcome to our life The viewing diary for the first half of this season is brutal. Weeks 1, 3, 6, 7, 9, & 11 all start after midnight on a work day, mostly leading into Monday. As we've noted before, I will not miss a single down of it. Thank goodness for flexi-time On the other hand, my take is that this level of prime time exposure means we are independently fancied to do well. This is a good sign. Let's hope we can keep the key players upright.
The schedule sucks. No home 1:00 PM games until December. Thanks Aaron, fucked us for another season. Man bun wearing mushroom eating cave dweller! Better make it to Post Season you old fuck!
Why do we have two Thursday night games? Don’t teams usually max out as one? we lucked out in both are home games.
The NFL basically said it. The Jets owe them some ratings. I wouldn't be surprised if they stoke the flames of that Kimmell shit before a Thursday Night game.
The NFL saying the Jets owe us one is interesting to me I don’t think the league is scripted but it may be … manipulated at times. If it is then saying the Jets owe us one is the same as saying we owe the Jets one maybe we see some fortunate calls to keep us relevant, especially early in the season
It’s not always about being good, it’s also about storylines, buzz, media, etc. The jets will provide useful storylines/media whether they win or lose, because either they’re competitive for the first time in 15 years or the media gets to pile onto a dumpster fire and railroad the jets for the first half of the year. Either way, the nfl gets good content from the jets in prime time to start off.
