Rich Eisen's podcast is awesome. Recently he hasn't been talking football because there's nothing to talk about. His last about 95 minutes on average.
There is 'Americarnage' which is a British American sports podcast. It features Mike Carlson who does most of the terrestrial NFL coverage in the uk. It is pretty silly and somewhat childish but it makes me laugh and there is some good banter. As mentioned the Eisen podcast is great. The cover two podcast with Steve Wyche and Bucky Brooks is a bit annoying but I do give them credit for being able to talk about the non-lockout NFL for 50 minutes every week.
Thanks - downloaded a couple of the Americarnage ones (I love Mike Carlson, most of my love for American sports came about with him at the helm) but I can't get the Cover Two one as it seems to only be available through iTunes, and I refuse to have Apple's shitty software on my machine. Appreciate your recommendations all.
I listen to Bill Simmons' podcasts, but whenever the NFL is brought up he brings in Mike Lombardi, and I can't fuckn' stand that guy.
During the season you can get Rex (every Monday) and Sanchez (every Tuesday) on the Micheal Kay Show website. They're usually up in podcast form a few hours after the live broadcast. He gets Namath every week too, at least he did last season.
I enjoy when he does the weekly podcasts with Cousin Sal during the year. Some of the bets they make are pretty funny.
there is the ESPN Football Today podcast - I just subscribed to it through itunes (forgive me) but havent listened to any yet so cant say if its any good.
I'm not saying everyone will like it, but I love the Dave Dameshek Football Program. I just think the guy is hysterical.
Chad Millman and Adam Corolla are guests that are favorites of mine. Mike Lombardi is decent, but it always seems like he is holding a lot back.
Adam had Bill Simmons on his podcast quite often during the season last year. I did enjoy listening to him.
Just listening to the Eisen podcast and listening to Peter King. My God he's obnoxious. He thinks he's a seer or something.
I am now watching the rick eisen podcasts - I signed up to get nfl network online - the quality is fantastic and its only about £2 a month!
Thanks for the recommendations, really like the Rich Eisen podcast especially now there's football to talk about. A couple of observations: - Is Eisen a Jet fan? He seems to have been interviewing every celebrity Jet fan he can find of late (Kevin James, Larry David, Hank Azaria). - Has anyone ever noticed that Al Michaels sounds EXACTLY the same as Alan Alda? True fact. Tried the Americarnage podcast, couldn't get into it I'm afraid. Way too "wow, aren't we zany and cool?" for my liking.
