Who do you guys think deserves the MVP award this year?? I'd say Aaron Rodgers even though he had a few ugly games he's been amazing for the most part. My runner up is DeMarco Murry. He was the most valuable player to his team regardless of how much the o-line may have been the cause, he was an absolute work horse and changed the entire direction of the Cowboys franchise.
Romo, he took that 5 win putrid team that everyone predicted, to 12 wins. Its very close though, I swear if the Cowboys were the 1 or 2 seed Romo woud have the edge....
Romo played really well too. Benefited greatly from that o-line and just an overall great offense period. Most defenses had to play so honest against Dallas that made it easy for Tony to just take what they give him every time he threw. And then everybody he threw to was wide open, dallas killed it this year. Butttt the games Romo was actually asked to play hero... same ol turnover tony
First time in a long time that a good argument can be made for a non-QB. Murray would make a lot of sense considering how often the Boys used him. Romo and Dez were beasts but that running game opened up a lot of room for that offense to thrive. If Watt isn't winning it this year then a defensive player might never win it. But in the end I imagine Rodgers will get it
JJ Watt is easily the best player in the league, 20 sacks AGAIN from the 3 tech is just absurd, he's my MVP.
Aaron Rodgers. Romo might get a boost for being a new face but I think him and Demarco split votes. Texans missed the playoffs and lit up a lot of backup QBs or bad offenses on D. So Rodgers, but not in a runaway.
It'll be Rodgers but I'd go with Watt. Problem for players on teams like the Cowboys and Steelers is it's tough to say who is the MVP of their own squad. They both have two legit candidates. (Romo/Murray, Bell/Brown)
Personally I think it's Watt. But he's got some things working against him. Defensive players rarely win it (have to go back to the 80s for the last one), and guys on non-playoff teams rarely win it (for that, you have to go back to OJ in the 70s). It raises an interesting question though. If a guy is a 9-7 team's MVP, is another guy on a team with a better record more valuable because he helped a better team get more wins? My money is on Rodgers but, for a change, it wouldn't surprise me to see Watt get it.
Romo. Hands down. He finished the year with a 69.9 completion percentage. 69.9!!! Thats an NFL record beating Brady and Manning. He finished the year with 34 TD, 9 INT, and a 112 rating. Brought the Cowboys into the playoffs for the first time in years and played a majority of the season injured still putting up the numbers he did. It should definitely be Romo. Hands down
Aaron Rodgers in a landslide. The best player in the NFL right now and his team won a lot and he had a great season.
Romo cracked the 300 yard mark once this year. I think Romo is great and I know numbers aren't everything but the point is he had a ton of the pressure taken off of him by a guy rushing for 1800 yards. If you have another MVP candidate on your team you can't be MVP
But honestly I want to see my tony romo in Green Bay divisional weekend. 8-0 road record against a 8-0 home record. The unstoppable force vs the immovable object....
J.j. watt is the texas rangers arod of the n.f.l. best player in the league on a bad team. if your going with the strict interpretation of m.v.p. its rodgers. if its the best player its watt
Just pretend that this response was one in which I didn't know that you aren't somebody to be taken seriously and I actually engaged your trolling. This way I don't have to waste my time and you still get the attention you so desperately crave
