I just finished watching a segment on ESPN about "spygate".

I just finished watching news reports from Boston tell me how Bill Bellicheck and the players want revenge against the Jets.

I just finished hearing a Star Ledger reporter tell me how Mangini and Bill never talk anymore, they hate each other, and how Bill is going to shove this one down Magini's throat.

I just finished hearing former players, and analysts, tell us how the Jets players hate the Pats players, and that this game is personal, and the Jets should take it to heart that the Pats think they are going to score 70 points...

My gripe? All I've heard about this week is spygate 2 (Imagine, a name for a football game). However, has a SINGLE player released a comment about this game? I've heard that they hate each other, but from who? Any players? NO. The Media and the NFL have created this game, and hyped it up beyond belief.

I have yet to hear a player say they are out for revenge, I've yet to hear a player say his team will score 70 points, I've yet to see Bill and Mangini come out and say they hate each other.

How ridiculous (and scary?) is it that all the hype for this game is either made up, or based entirely on assumptions.

Reporting, and stories based on facts would be nice. I can't wait for this to end, but I just know that the NFL will ride this story all the way until next season. Will we ever be able to face the patriots again without hearing about "spygate" and hearing words put into the two teams mouthes?
