I just read that the Cardinals have 14 picks in this draft - 7 in the top 105 picks. They have picks #4, 27, 35, 66, 71, 90, 105, 137, 161, 188, 222, 224 and 241. I'll be curious to see how the Cardinals do. They may draft a QB, but Kyler Murray played better down the stretch, so they may opt only to draft a QB at #27 or in the 2nd round. I don't know what their needs are, but they could fill them in a big way. Idzik had 12 picks in 2014, but they weren't as good as this. He had picks #118, 49, 80, 104, 115, 137, 154, 195, 209, 210, 213, & 233, and of course, it was a HORRIBLE draft for the Jets! Quincy Enunwa and Dakota Dozier were the only decent picks of the 12.
For the heck of it, I conducted a mock draft for the Cardinals. Their needs are said to be DT, WR, OT, OG, CB, Edge, playmakers on offense and maybe QB. I traded down a couple of times and gave up the 7th round picks, so only wound up with 12 picks. I had no clue on CB or Edge, or on lower round guys, so was just drafting BPA on PFN's board, or adding some other positions for variety. Here's what I wound up with. Starters in Fashanu, Thomas, Sweat, Haynes, and Walker, possibly their future QB in Penix, a speedy RB in Wright, a decent LB prospect, and 3 DTs who should improve their DL depth. 7. Olu Fashanu OT 27. Brian Thomas WR 35. T'Vondre Sweat DT 38. Christian Haynes OG 66. Michael Penix, Jr. QB 71. Max Melton CB 90. Devontez Walker WR 107. Maason Smith DT 137. Jaylen Wright RB 161. Curtis Jacobs, LB 166. Jordan Jefferson DT 185. Josh Proctor S This one is even crazier, but I only did 5 rounds: 4. Joe Alt OT Notre Dame 33. Jayden Daniels QB LSU 35. Leonard Taylor DT Miami (FL) 65. Xavier Legette WR South Carolina 67. Caelen Carson CB Wake Forest 71. Kris Jenkins DT Michigan 90. Payton Wilson LB NC State 103. Brandon Coleman OG TCU 113. Jaylen Wright RB Tennessee 161. Javon Foster OT Missouri
