Like I said earlier, if you pay him NOW then he's happy NOW but may feel underpaid in 2 years, and we're back to square one.

If you wait 2 more years then he's unhappy NOW but will be real happy 2 years from now and throughout his better playing years.

So pay him in 2 years.

If we ever are to make a Super Bowl, we need this guy with us on that ride. Know what I am saying?

Did Mark threaten to holdout when we gave him his extension?

I disagree completely. We pay him now and he's cheap down the road. Being unhappy doesn't mean he's gonna hold out. Plus; we don't know if he will step his game up, so we should pay him based on his production, not his potential.

better to pay him good now and get bargaining power down the road then make him play for a contract with the threat of leaving to drive up costs.

that 5th year option puts a weird twist into things though.

That's quite the inference, given there has been nary a mention of that ever happening.

We already went down the road with lowballing players with Mike T., and we all see how that went. There's always going to be a Revis that holds out regardless of what you do. Mo is a critical part of the team and we need to make him a fair offer in good faith.

Definitely sounds like the Anti-Revis. Pay the man now and if necessary, pay him again down the road. If he keeps progressing, he's gonna get his money either from us or someone else. Might as well be us and besides, isn't it time we keep our superstars on the roster instead of crying broke when one wants more money?

Too many Offensive holes to fill this year to pay him.

Idzik knows what he is doing. Why pay him premium dollars in advance if he does not have to? If we pick up the option for a 5th year he is stuck, after that we can exercise the franchise tag. Wilkerson's numbers don't stand out as far and beyond the best DE in the league so he will have to wait his turn to get paid. I think the front office will pay him, they just don't have to right now.

Mind looking up the link you ordered yours from?

The Dayekeji link you posted is real sketchy. Product info is full of grammatical errors.
