It was traded during the Draft last year, no players...only picks involved.

Patriots Trade 69th Overall Pick; Take Crable 78th
    April 27th, 2008 by Ian ? No Comments ?
The New England Patriots traded one of their 3rd round picks (69th overall) to the San Diego Chargers for the Chargers 5th round (160th overall) pick this year and their 2009 2nd round draft choice.

The Patriots used the 78th overall pick to take Michigan DE/OLB Shawn Crable from Michigan. Crable projects to play outside linebacker for the Patriots.

I wouldn't be surprised if they gave up a few of their picks for Julius Peppers..

I really wouldn't mind trading up for someone like Jarron Gilbert if we got Hakeem Nicks in the first actually. And given how we always seem to trade up to get our guys on draft day, that's a real possibility. Maybe not to get a DE, but for something.

I like WR in the first, but I think the 2nd round should be either a defensive lineman (tackle or end) or an offensive lineman (depth behind the older guys).
