What's the potential QB's the Jets could have next year? I am really a fan of not drafting one this year and if Clemens sucks this year get one next year, the top one available. How do they shape up?

I really, really like Jimmy Clausen out of Notre Dame - but he'll only be a junior next season.

I'm not high on Texas' Colt McCoy -- he'll more than likely be a first rounder though.

If he stays healthy, Oklahoma's Sam Bradford should be a top five pick.

Jevan Snead out of Ole Miss looks like a baller.

MAC QBs Dan LeFevour of C. Michigan and Tim Hiller of W. Michigan look good.

Delaware QB Pat Devlin, who is a transfer from Penn State, could be the next Joe Flacco.

    Good post........

Don't forget about Zac Robinson ,Oklahoma State..3,064 yards, 25 touchdowns and 10 picks. Could be a good pick in rd 2 in 2010.

...and of course you omitted Tebow (probably deliberately) but some team may give him a shot as the first true, Wild Cat QB

I would not be surprised at all if a team took him in the first few rounds and utilized the spread offense a ton. It is easy to see in college that the spread is wildly effective but it isn't used in the NFL because it puts the QB which usually makes a ton of $$ in jeopardy of being injured. With Tebow you could use him as a spread QB - he's a tough guy and hasn't had any trouble with injuries - but if he gets injured you could go back to using only the pro-style offense with your prostyle QB. Basically a 2 QB system with 2 diff formations being used. I think it could definitely add some more W's to a team's record and for the money that a 2nd/3rd rounder makes it would be worth the investment.

I am in agreement with this state of mind. In part because I just don't think this QB class is worth a damn. So why waste a pick this year on a guy who isnt going to be what you want? Then next year have a top pick, with a franchise guy sitting there for you to take, but you cant take him because you took some dude last year?

Personally I don't think there is a true franchise QB in this draft, the closest thing is Stafford IMO, but if he is drafted by the lions, he will flame out.

So already I am a fan of most of the guys on Electric's list for next season, so since I dont believe anybody hanging out at our spot, is worth it, I pass and improve my team in other areas. If Clemens/Ratliff is the guy then you dont even have to draft one, if they arent then next year with a much stronger QB class (at least in my eyes) you can have your pick of the litter.

A lot of people think that Jimmy will stay for his senior season with us at ND, the amount of talent we have for 09 and 10, makes it look like a BCS bid is on the cards, the kid wants to win and that's what makes him a good guy to have on your team. People also believe that he is not even the best QB on our roster, Dayne Crist really has potential, and i think if Clausen does decide to leave then we are in a good position for his departure.
