Wonder why they're only doing 2, not 4 or 6 like the first 2 years they did this ROH. Would have loved to see guys like Chrebet, Mo Lewis, also get in.
Fantastic for both..I always expected Walker but thought they still held a grudge against Gastineau for crossing over. I hope he shows up for it.
I can't think of two more deserving players. Congrats to Gastineau and Welker. I would love to have either guy in his prime on our current squad.
What Took So Long This is a problem I have had with the Jets in the past. They are very slow to recognized their own. I want Scott Dierking, Johnny Hector, Mickey Shuler, Jerome Barkum, Lance Mehl, Kyle Clifton and Walt Michaels recognized by this franchise. The Jets haven't had many memories but there has been many that have given us the blood and sweat and should be acknowledge.
Mehl and Shuler possibly, and Michaels may have been the Jets second best coach of all time, but none of the others on your list come close to being in a ring of honor.
Love 85, Hate 99 I couldn't stand Gastinaeu as a player, and then his off the field, out of the game antics just confirmed what a douchebag he is. He almost spoils the memories of Klecko, Salaam and Lyons.
Clifton was a very good player and should have been honored. I don't know about Hector or Barkum. Gastineau is very deserving and I hope he is actually in person to celebrate. He was a giant douche but he was fun to watch. I remember my dad hating him but actually met him once in New York and said what a nice guy he was. To me the biggest disapointment was when he retired mid season because of that skank Briggitte Nielson. He was back and was tearing it up. Maybe my favorite moment and a little bit of trivia was Mark in the music video for Walk Like and Egyptian. There was another Jet in the video with him one less known Jet but also a DL. The trivia would be who was in the video with him?
gastineau brought me in as well. Once Mean Joe Green retired he became my favorite player and I've been a jets fan ever since .......... Damn you Joe Green!!!
Allright junc, you have the keen eye for this but in the Walker picture is that Gastineau holding Walker in the air? Was that also the famous Kenny O/Marino shootout?
