I don't know if this is what caused it but shortly after i downloaded the newest roster updates for xbox360 today I got the red ring of death. just a heads up.
I'm told that Father Xmas is going to brng me that for xmas. I've never played xbox yet , what is the red ring of death?
very common problem with the 360. The system stops working and you get 3 red blinking lights on the front of the console. MS has acknowledged the issue and is fixing all 360's for free. They're shipping me the box to send it in with shipping paid for.
Ugh! I hope thats just a problem with US consoles , nothing worse than losing a game or the whole memory. That doesn't sound very good.
Your systems probably faulty -- the roster update is only a small save onto your memory, it wouldn't destroy your XBOX.
They're going to send you a free 1-month LIVE membership card too.... I was almost glad I got the ring of death.... I didn't pay any money, got a new console in the mail within a week, and a free month of LIVE
SCREW EA!! I had to download a roster update a couple of weeks ago, because of a freezing issue that I was having while play my franchise. Also created a new profile, after the update i wasn't able to train my players anymore...pissed me off and I haven't played since. Google'd the problem i was having and found out others were having the same issue.....now the updates are crashing machines wow. EA is known for this crap back going back to the original XBOX, on one site I read people are pushing for a lawsuit because of the faulty games. This will be the last time they get my money for the Madden franchise.
I got the red ring of death last week too while playing halo so its probably not the roster update. No 360 for a month now and guitar hero 3 comes out tommorow.... this sucks.
I'm on my 5th Xbox 360. Shit luck I guess, it's not like I play the crap out of it or anything. I never move it, It's not in a dusty area, it just happens. Luckily I get the warranty at EB, so I just go in there are replace it on the spot, no questions asked.
you should all take the XBOX360 back, get your money back, and get yourselves SONY PLAYSTATION 3 BABY!!!!!
