John Kruk says the Braves "run away" with the NL East with some "great pitching" from Glavine, Smoltz, and Hudson and the Phillies win the WC because of Howard, Rollins, and Utley.

I personally say that that fat asshole can shove it. It's not even because of this; I don't understand how the guy has a job with anyone, let alone ESPN. He knows absolutely nothing about the game of baseball.

The Mets have won 28 of their last 37 Opening Day games.

I'm looking forward to seeing Johan pitch, hopefully he is still pitching by the time I get home at around 5:30.

I saw this and was thinking the same thing. You can't tell me that Glavine, Hudson and Smoltz is better than Santana, Pedro and Maine, it's just not true. He then goes on to say that Chipper/Tex is obviously better than DWright/Beltran, which is arguable either way, maybe.

yeah, but when a guy that should be hitting 8th is hitting 6th it doesn't speak too well about the rest of the bottom of your lineup.

I wonder if any other former NBA players started an Opening Day game on the mound against the Mets.

There's only been 10 other NBA/MLB players. I don't know how many were pitcher or who they were, though. I can't imagine there being any others that started Opening Day on the mound against the Mets.
