Hi Everyone, I wanted the West side stadium. We didnt get it. IMO there were other options such as somewhere else in the city, Long Island. But one scenario that was never even brought up would have been upstate somewhere such as Westchester. If they did the stadium in Westchester it would be close to alot of major roads. NYS Thruway,287,Hutchinson River Parkway,Sprain Brook Parkway,Taconic State Parkway,Saw Mill River Parkway,Bronx River Parkway. Plus the cost of building in Westchester would have been significantly lower as its not prime real estate such as Manhattan. I would say about what it will cost to build in New Jersey. Even Rockland County would have worked as it is also close to New Jersey for their residents and once again land is not prime real estate like Manhattan. So my question is why New Jersey if the name of the team is the New York Jets? Woody Johnson can take our money but not give us our own home in New York. Either change the location of the team or change the name. They are the New York Jets but there home is in New Jersey? Does this sound ridiculous to anyone else. It has sounded ridiculous to me for years. I want the Jets to be brought home to New York. If they are not then change the name to New Jersey. Im sick and tired of my uncle who is a Buffalo fan telling me he roots for the only true new york team. Its sad with all the politics and as rich of a state as New York is that we couldnt get a stadium deal done in New York. I really thought it would get done. The stadium can, could, and should be built in New York. I never would have thought this is the situation we would be in again sharing a stadium with the Giants. Its not as if Woody Johnson doesnt raise our ticket prices every year or charge to be on the season ticket list. Maybe profits of the team are being put ahead of pride. Just a pet peav I felt like voicing. If anyone else has any for or against SOUND OFF PLEASE! LOL
Maybe someone will know this, but a few years ago (before the Manhatten project - oh wait the OTHER Manhatten project) weren't there talks going on that the Jets stadium would be in Westchester?? I still don't know why they tried to get into Manhatten. It was so un-fanfriendly

i dont now why the jets didnt make an effort at all to move to queens.. and know we are stuck with the giants for the rest of our lives.. well that sucks
