MASON I look at it like i'm getting a starter at 3 positions, one of which cancels out what i'm giving up(Rivers 4 Petersen), plus upgrading my recieving corps. In our league, Rivers is putting up more points per game, then Petersen.
Derrick Mason is barely fantasy viable. Hasselbeck and Rivers won't be far enough apart to justify you giving up AP. No dice.
Mason is not a starter and I still consider Hasselbeck to be a better fantasy QB than Rivers. Don't put too much stock in the first 2 weeks of the season.
