Jake Long to St. Louis? They have two very good tackles in Pace and Barron, but interrior line is the problem for them. I suppose this could be prep for the aging Orlando Pace though. Interesting pick, but I think they go DL.

If Long did go to St. Louis, I could see Clady being taken by the Chiefs that early, especially if he works out well before the draft.

If McFadden falls to us at #6, we have to take him. I hope that we get a good offer to trade down though, which I'm sure the phones will be off the hooks if he makes it to #6.

Why does everyone have Kenny Phillips falling so far? He's the perfect pick for the Eagles, but why is he falling all of the sudden?

Keith Rivers as a 3-4 OLB/DE? I don't know if he's that good of a fit in that scheme. Plus I doubt he falls all the way to #29 overall.

I thought this was a good mock overall though.

Rivers to the 49ers makes no sense at all, dumb pick.

I don't understand why the Panthers would take Merling, he's a good player, but safety and offensive line are both WAY bigger needs AND provide better value (Otah or Phillips)

I don't think the Bills would take Jackson, they need a bigger receiver to complement Lee Evans, Malcolm Kelly would make more sense, or just addressing a different position all together.

If Rivers fell that far I could see the Giants trading up for him, he's exactly what they need.

Most of the picks make sense though, not a bad mock.

The Jets will be in a tough position if McFadden is there.McFadden has some baggage and I don't believe the Jets like taking a RB that high. For a team without any playmakers on offense, he would be hard to pass up. It would be very difficult and controversial decision.

I also think STL should take the best available DL but I can see the Jake Long pick. I haven't seen anything to demonstrate that Barron is a great player in the league or that he can play Left Tackle effectively but I think STL is terrified of losing Pace after being so set for so long. I think if they do take Long, I think it will be more as a replacement for Pace than for Barron.

I don't think it's crazy for St. Louis to pick Long. They could plug him at LG and let him groom behind the soon to be 33 year old Pace. Barron is a decent RT, but I haven't heard one positive thing about him as a LT.

In fact, I thought this is/was one of the best fits in the draft.

i agree. If cris long is gone the rams may not want to take a DT at #2 overall. Dt's are huge risks and IMO are the biggest risks of any position in the draft. The rams may wish to go with a safer pick like Jake Long who has tons of physical ability and can replace Orlando Pace who is well past his prime.

I will be at the draft and if Mcfadden falls to us I guess I would have to go nuts. We can't pass up a playmaker like that because we need one so bad. We would just pick up groves in the second and push everything back a round. That would be nuts though if we got him. I am set on gholston but you have to beleive in mangini and he will make the best decision for the team.. You have to have faith in your coach. They do good stuff in drafts.

You're going? Thats awesome. Make some noise while you're there. Lets wait and see what kind of impact we make in Free Agency. If we address OG (maybe Faneca) and DT (Sopoaga) in FA then we may not have to "push things back a round" and can go for that luxury pick in McFadden.

I would love to draft Gholston @ #6 to play alongside Vilma, Harris, Rhodes and Revis... But at the same time... We we have a chance at taking D.McFadden @ #6... I say draft him and lock him up long term.

The future of this Offense will be in nice hands with Kellen, McFadden and Cotchery. I have faith that this FO will address the O-Line, but for the future... Kellen, McFadden and Cotchery will be pretty exciting

Mcfadden at six would be a gift. And looks like it will happen. They'd have to take him there.
