Wow, this is pretty crazy. http://www.businessinsider.com/nevada-lost-nearly-1-million-by-beating-boise-state-2010-11
depending on how well TCU travels, the city of Pasadena will take a huge hit as well, because all of Boise would have come to Pasadena for the Rose Bowl had Boise St been in it.
TCU does currently have a big draw from Southern California rich conservative kids. It's not as big as SMU, but enough that they'll have students, alums, and families at the game. It'll certainly be better than the Stanford presence in Miami if I had to guess.
Throw in I know a lot of UNLV fans are making a trip to watch an MWC team play in the only bowl game that really matters. And for the record any loss they may take on TCU will more then be made up by Wisconsin. I know a lot fo Badger fans who have family that will be making the trip. We in Vegas like that because they all stop here before they get to LA. The PD at ESPN Radio here in Vegas is a huge Badger fan and he said that he has heard upwards of 100K people from Wisconsin making the trek.
